Wow , wow , wow and wow ! Incredible place, we hired over Christmas to host our Australian families. On arrival we were absolutely gob-smacked by the Christmas decorations, a tree to die for and Christmas lights festooned throughout. The place was exceptionally clean and each room was beautifully decorated. There were two huge welcome pack bags including Christmas chocolates for the children . We had an amazing time , thank you so much for making Christmas 2025 the best ever .

We had our intimate 2 day 30 guests wedding on the 26/08/2025. It was our first and last venue to go look for our wedding. Straight from road to the venue we know it will be this place we going to choose. We went 2 more time just to double measure with decorations lady, all communication was very smooth. I fink pictures will speak louder than words. All guests was over moon to stay at Roaches Hall.

We had a lovely experience here. The house was well heated and felt very clean. It was easy to find and had a good kitchen space. The speaker system was really good too. Overall we were very happy with our stay at the house.

We needed a large party house for a Hen Weekend with 30 guests, and found Roaches Hall on the party houses website. It looked fantastic in the pictures and other reviews were really positive, but obviously you still have doubts when booking somewhere that big and for lots of money.
The place was utterly perfect. Decor is the right side of shabby chic, in that it is a dated house with nice antique-style furniture, but the bedrooms and bathrooms are all modernised (super comfy beds), the utilities are great in terms of kitchen, dishwashers etc, WiFi mostly very good (some areas are dark spots, but then it is a massive stone house). The building and grounds are gorgeous, and there is so much space that even with 30 we had lots of room. We managed to park about 10 cars there, and brought in external caterers to feed all 30 which was done with ease. Plenty of hot water too, and the place was really toasty (having worried it might be quite cold).
Communication with Chris was super easy in terms of access, codes, etc., and they are also very reasonable in terms of the security deposit, asking for very little to be cleaned prior to leaving.
All in all, couldn’t be happier we went with Roaches Hall. I’d highly recommend it for your large party!

It is not easy to find a self catering place large enough to accommodate 4 generations of our family and to keep all entertained and comfortable for their stay. Roaches Hall does all of this - rooms spacious enough for all to gather to relax or eat together, plenty of smaller spaces for breakout groups to play pool, table football, watch the football, read a book or get out the lego, together with plenty of bathrooms and comfortable beds. On top of that an amazing location and many walking opportunities. With supermarkets a short drive away for that essential stocking up, we had a marvellous time celebrating an 87th birthday with a family ranging in ages from 5 months to 87 years. Well equipped, warm enough to cope with a snowy weekend, and fridges big enough to support our catering. What more could we have asked for?

We stayed at roaches Hall in August this year as a family. There were 26 of us including three children.
We had the most amazing time. Great walks, lovely weather. Fabulous places to eat within a short drive, and a delicious Chinese takeaway piping hot from Mr VONGS In Leek.
Would recommend to any large groups. All the bedrooms are lovely. And lots of rooms for personal space downstairs too.
The outdoor space was fabulous for all of us to play or just sit and chat.
