Pubs to Explore near Roaches Hall

The Lazy Trout, nestled near Tittesworth Reservoir, is a favourite among visitors and locals alike, offering hearty food, local ales, and a cosy, friendly atmosphere. You can also walk there in approximately 45 minutes – 1 hour from Roaches Hall across the fields and public footpaths via Butty Fold Farm. Its a nice and scenic walk. 

The Rock Inn is walkable in about 20 minutes, but please always book a large group in advance by calling up. Please note this would be walking along roads.

In the village of Meerbrook, The Three Horseshoes combines country pub charm with a more refined dining experience, and even boasts its own spa for those looking to relax even further. You can drive here in 5 minutes or walk in approx 45 minutes but again this would be along roads.

Further afield, but still easily accessible, pubs like The Winking Man, with its quirky name and panoramic views, and The Reform Inn in Thorncliffe offer a welcoming stop for lunch or a quiet pint after a day of exploring. Many of these establishments pride themselves on sourcing ingredients locally and feature seasonal menus packed with flavour.
